Snake mural
“Piece me together,” said the snake on the wall “I promise to be good, “I would never harm you all…” the mystical ballads came swimming through my eyes the little lights of madness seemed to chase it around tonight the city’s obscure hushing sounds make it seem too obsolete for reality… “Piece me together,” said the snake on the mural “I promise not to bite “I promise I’ll be on the right way out “place my titles in order “and I won’t jump at your throat,” the mural danced in color as the sunshine touched its throat… the voices suddenly seemed to die away I’m alone again, though it’s here to stay this image that called to me little crevice, little vine… creep across my mind, as my vice… ‘Piece me together’ had been the snake’s plea and I did not answer it because I knew yes, it would lash out at me…
